More than 92% of Georgia State students receive some form of financial aid.
Check for verification requirements. More than one third of Georgia State students are selected for verification. If your student is selected, you’ll need you to work with the Financial Aid office to request, complete and submit the documents required for verification.
If verification is requested, a list of the documents required will be posted in your student’s PAWS account. You should review the account within three to five days of FAFSA completion and admissions application acceptance.
After the FAFSA has been submitted and verification documents have been completed, your student should be awarded aid. He or she will receive an email to review and accept funding in PAWS.
Once your student has accepted funding, review PAWS to verify whether or not he or she has a balance that is fully covered by financial aid. Then, review additional funding options and/or payment plans.
