Georgia State is the most diverse university in the state and is affordable and accessible for everyone. Estimated tuition and fees are per semester:

Graduating High School Students have two options when applying:- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or,
- Complete the online Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPPS) or printable paper GSFAPPS application.
Note: The FAFSA must be completed each year.
Transfer Students:
Should Submit a Panther Answer Ticket requesting to have their eligibility reviewed after they have submitted all prior transcripts during their Admissions process.

Once you have completed your FAFSA, Georgia State will receive your application within five business days. Review your PAWS account to see if you have been awarded or if you have additional steps to complete or paperwork to turn in.

Review your award amount in PAWS and see the links for more information on the type of aid you were awarded.
Once you have reviewed your award and accepted your funding, move to the next step, "Check," to see if you have a remaining balance you need to address.

HOW TO PAY
Paying your student account balance online via PantherPay is the FASTEST payment method!There are several methods in which tuition and fees can be paid. Some employers and agencies assist students with their educational costs. To have your bill paid by a third party, formal billing arrangements must be set up and approved by Student Accounts before the term begins. The Georgia State Payment Plan allows a student to defer payment for up to 50% of the current term’s tuition and mandatory fees OR 50% of their account balance, whichever is less.

- 66.67% Completion Rate (Passed vs Attempted Credit Hours)
- Do NOT exceed 180 attempted credit hours

HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarships
- Georgia resident
- A minimum 3.0 GPA for HOPE Scholarship
- A minimum 3.3 GPA for Zell Miller Scholarship
- Cannot exceed 127 attempted hours

GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS
Each college offers a limited number of graduate teaching, research and laboratory assistantships. Assistantships provide stipends and tuition waivers for up to 20 hours or service each week. Students with graduate assistantships also participate in the student health insurance program, for which the university and the college, school or institute provide premium cost offsets each term.Prospective and current students interested in pursuing graduate assistant positions should contact their program director. Contacts for each program can be found at the bottom of the program page in the program explorer or you may use the college resources below.
FELLOWSHIPS & SCHOLARSHIPS
You'll be automatically considered for a number of additional fellowships and scholarships within some programs just by applying. No extra steps are needed.
