The 2017-2018 FAFSA is available beginning October 1, 2016.
Students will use earlier income information
Beginning with the 2017-2018 FAFSA, students will be required to report income information from an earlier tax year. On the 2017-2018 FAFSA, students and parents will report their 2015 income information, rather than their 2016 income information.

April 1, 2017 is the 2017-2018 Financial Aid Priority Application Date for fall 2017
To ensure that your financial aid will be awarded in time to help cover your tuition and fees for the fall 2017 semester, complete your file, before April 1, 2017 for the 2017-2018 academic year.
Financial aid files completed by the priority date will be awarded financial aid, if eligible, no later than June 30, 2017.

This is a new process for the 2017- 2018 aid year. All students selected for verification will need to create an account in order to view requirements and submit documents. Please log onto your PAWS account and select the “Click here” link, you will be directed to the Georgia State Verify FAFSA tool.
Georgia State University will determine your aid eligibility, only when all of the requested documents have been received and processed. Documents should be submitted electronically using the upload feature.
